Christmas 2013.
We spent our first Christmas in our new home. Since Christmas fell on a Wednesday this year it was a little difficult to plan it around everyone's schedules but we did the best we could. We ended up celebrating Christmas with my family down in Germantown, MD at my Dad's house on Christmas Eve day. Mikey had to work a half day but he was able to make it in time for the festivities. It was great being able to spend time with both my sisters, my Mom and her husband Mark and my sister's husband Brett. We then drove back home Christmas eve night so that we could celebrate our first Christmas in our new home. My Dad and sister Katie joined us. Dad and Mikey enjoyed the evening putting together Logan's gift from Santa, a train table set. Christmas morning was amazing. It is so much fun now that Logan is at an age where he understands what is going on and really gets into everything. It was wonderful watching his face light up as he realized Santa had come and we opened presents and spent time together. Although, getting him to church Christmas morning was a bit of a project we made it and were able to celebrate the true reason for the season. Later that day, My Dad and Katie left to return to their homes as they had to work the next day (remember Christmas was on a Wednesday!) and we went over to Mikey's parents house to eat Christmas dinner and spend our evening with them. I absolutely LOVE Christmas time, getting together with family and all that the season entails. I think our first Christmas at Chardonnay Dr was a success and am looking forward to many more years of Christmas memories to come.
