winter 2015 as of late.

Winter this year hasn't been quite as bad as last year but it has still kept us cooped up indoors for the majority of the past few months.  Logan has started taking swim classes on WVU's main campus and is loving it.  I am so surprised at how well he is getting on.  Mikey has been taking the classes with him while Emma and I are the spectators.  Mikey has been doing a wonderful job with teaching Logan the basics and Logan has really shown great improvement.  I guess the best "prop" to use for learning to swim is the noodle vs arm floaties (whoops!) as the noodle allows the child more freedom and a horizontal position in the water instead of vertical that the floaties provide.  Emma is entering my favorite age of 6-18 months.  She is becoming more aware of her surroundings and really interacting with everyone around her.  She is babbling and talking up a storm and LOVES (and I mean really loves) her jumperoo.  The teachers at her school think she will either be an Olympic hurdler or a horse back rider because she loves to jump so much!  She is also (almost) sitting up on her own and has started eating solid foods.  She isn't too big on the eating thing but she's getting there.  And she is obsessed with Sophie the giraffe.  In the meantime, being locked up in the house always seems to start my DIY itch, so Mikey and I have a few projects that we are currently working on.  Mainly our powder room and decorating the dining room (finally!); more to come on those works in progress.  We are really looking forward to Spring and some warmer weather and with it Logan starting soccer and t-ball!
